Tania Rodamilans

Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Tania began painting in her teens. Largely self-taught, she is forever learning and experimenting. Living in the United States for the past ten years, and in Chicago for most of that time, she has continued to pursue her love for art.

She has always enjoyed the process of painting as much as the end result. What she enjoys the most about painting is the pleasure she finds in exploration and discovery.

An overall whimsical quality can be seen especially in most of my latest work, where she has created worlds in which reality and fiction are playfully intertwined. These works of fiction possess an ethereal quality reminiscent of a lucid dream, capturing time and space between reality and imagination. In these pieces, external elements are often combined with inner elements of the human experience: emotions, memories, dreams and imagination.
